Someone hacked into the Web site for the San Bernardino County sheriff's office in California and changed the wording on several news releases, forcing the agency to shut down the site last week, according to the Daily Bulletin.

In my weekly web stat reports, I witnessed the first rise in unique hits for Fringe Fantastic last week. It happens every year around this time, both Fringe Fantastic and Poolside Poetry start to tail into an upwards trend, before peaking in August and slowing down as it moves into September. Good news.
