Turning fantasy into reality for its patrons is this shop’s business. The activity collectively is termed cosplay, or costume play, and it is an increasingly popular trend in Japan whereby average folks dress as a character in their favorite video game, anime, manga, or other fantasy-related medium.

While the US celebrates July 4 as the American Independence Day, the Philippines marks this day as the Philippine-American Friendship Day, to commemorate the freedom of both American and Filipino forces from the Japanese occupation at the end of World War II.
